Founder
Christina is a community driven artist-teacher and creative education consultant.
Her extensive schools career history in teaching and leadership, coupled with her art and design skills, merged in 2011 when Doodle Designs was born. The intersection of Christina’s creative and pedagogical skills allow her to approach projects in a unique style. Addressing strategy and policy, raising standards, delivering skills as well as expanding the wider community’s art experience are at the heart of her work.
Doodle Designs delivers a range of public art participatory projects. From ceramics to murals, spray can art to messy play, Christina’s passion lies in connecting communities through art, craft and design. Her dedicated and accessible approach to facilitating workshops through public consultation, not only supports others to fulfil their creative potential, but leaves meaningful legacies for the communities she engages.
Christina co-founded Creative Exchange, a collective of north London designers and craftspeople, offering business networking and support opportunities. This culminated in an annual Open Studios public event, raising the profile of local artists and promoting their work. More recently, Christina is an active member of her local Edmonton community; she instigated and created several window art trails during lockdown, runs regular Play Streets for local families and organises a monthly toy collection for North Middlesex Hospital’s children's ward.
Alongside her ongoing London school partnerships, Christina's clients include IKEA, Edmonton Green Shopping Centre, Youth Enfield, Enfield Council and Millfield Arts Centre. Christina was the 2021 Artist in residence at Enfield’s Month of Sundays festival across the borough. Her inspiring education work has also been recognised by the British Council who have invited her to sit on their International School Awards panel for consecutive years.
Christina continues to work as an Education Consultant, supporting several London schools through mentoring, coaching and training. When not in schools or delivering community art workshops, you can find Christina firing up her kiln in her home studio, the Doodle Den.

Project Support
Sarah has over 15 years experience working with children and young people. She is passionate about accessibility and supporting all young people to thrive. Following an extensive career in theatre arts marketing where she worked across a range of London performance venues (including the Roundhouse, Lyric Hammersmith, Hampstead Theatre and Theatre Royal Stratford East), Sarah moved into the youth charity sector to head up marketing and communications at Futureversity (the founders of the original Summer Uni workshops model).
Since then, Sarah has worked in a variety of front-line settings to provide advocacy and support to engage young people into education, training and employment. This has included in hostels as an Outreach Worker for national homelessness charity Centrepoint, and more recently at West Lea School's Supported Internship programme, for young adults with additional needs in the workplace. Sarah is a local parent governor, also a co-founder of the Facebook group Edmonton Parents Get Together, an online community network for local families raising their children in N9 and N18. At Doodle, Sarah supports Christina with admin and planning, workshop delivery and funding bids.

Art Playworker
Sylvie has 14 years experience in community creative play. Following completion of an art degree, she has managed and worked across a variety of play environments for young people, including adventure playgrounds, outdoor spaces, local community settings and within schools. Through this work, Sylvie has designed play spaces, run community events and facilitated mentoring and training. Sylvie has also worked for both local and national charities, including Barnardo’s and Every Parent and Child Enfield, to support children and their families through building effective and meaningful partnerships. She is also a parent governor at her children’s school.
As part of the Doodle team, Sylvie’s passion and expertise in organic free play creates inviting opportunities to encourage children to engage in creating their own play spaces and artworks, using loose parts, a wide range of (sometimes messy) art materials and a bit of imagination.
